In The Swamp

There's a lot of beauty in the swamp sometimes. This wild iris was blooming on the side of the road in Myakka River State Park. I think this is much prettier than the ones I see in many people's gardens. I guess it's not as prolific as professional gardeners might like, and the marshy conditions it was growing in would be hard to duplicate in captivity, but that doesn't make it any less beautiful.
